Runners and Athletes - An Ideal Cross-Trainer
The ElliptiGO was designed to provide all of the cardiovascular benefits of running while eliminating the damage that running causes. As a result, it's an ideal cross-training device for any sport based on running. The elite runners and athletes currently cross-training on an ElliptiGO have found that the ElliptiGO can actually improve their stamina and endurance by allowing them to train at a higher intensity on their recovery days while still letting their bones and joints recover from the pounding of running.

"I absolutely fell in love with the ElliptiGO because it’s the closest thing to running that you can do outside without suffering the impact caused by running. It’s a really valid way to do cross-training if you’re a runner, and then some. I think it’s going to revolutionize the cross-training world. The only problem I've had is dealing with the bugs that collect on my teeth because of how much I smile during my training rides." How does Jenny cross-train on the ElliptiGO?“I first used it to train for the Trans-Rockies 3-day staged race through the Colorado Rockies. My original training plan to simulate the 3-day staged trail race included doing three long runs on consecutive days. Once I found the ElliptiGO, I quickly realized that the similarities in intensity and motion would enable me to weave ElliptiGO workouts into this sequence. So instead, I alternated long, hard ElliptiGO rides with long running workouts. This drastically reduced the impact on my body, while allowing me to get in hard workouts three days in a row. In the end, l was able to get in enough training while reducing my risk of injury and performed well at the event. I'm still using the ElliptiGO in my training regimen." |
