Your serial number is an 8-digit number located under the bike on the round tube between the rear wheel and the kickstand. See sample photo at right. For new/unassembled bikes, the serial # is also located on a white label on the outside of your shipping box and on a brown cardboard tag that hangs off the rear drive arm.
