American distance running legend Steve Spence has been using ElliptiGO training since 2012, both for his own personal training and for the athletes he coaches at Shippensburg University. Spence grew up in Elizabethtown, PA where he attended Lower Dauphin HS and then stayed in state to attend Shippensburg University.
Just a few months ago, our ElliptiGO team was in Atlanta for the 2020 US Olympic Marathon Trials. Of the over 700 qualifiers, there were close to 100 ElliptiGO athletes competing, many of which were among the favorites to make the team. With some of the deepest fields our sport has ever seen, a record number of qualifiers, and probably the toughest course in Olympic Trials history, there was a tremendous build up to these races that would decide the first Track & Field Team USA qualifiers for the Tokyo Olympics.

Loudoun Valley HS Coaches Marc and Joan Hunter started integrating ElliptiGO training in the 2016-2017 season and have seen considerable success at all levels of ability, now adding more ElliptiGO bikes into their team resources. In the 2017 XC season, the boys’ team became the first program in Virginia history to score a perfect 15 points (placing 1-5) in the Virginia State Championships. They then went on to win the NXN National XC Championships, and continued that momentum into a record setting Track & Field season.
