ElliptiGO NYC Marathon Takeover

ElliptiGO was out in full force at the New York City Marathon weekend, with top athletes represented in both the marathon and USATF 5k Championships and members of the Global Elliptical Riders Club (GERC) taking to the City streets to show off their GOs and get some miles in while spectating at the Marathon.

Saturday, November 4

USATF 5K Championships

Kicking off the race weekend, ElliptiGO athletes took to the line to compete in the USATF 5k Championships. Congrats to the following athletes:

GERC Central Park Ride

After the 5k took place, GERC members gathered with their ElliptiGO bikes for laps of Central Park, where riders covered anywhere from 20 to 40 miles. A leisurely lunch at the iconic Loeb Boathouse followed. The group later reconvened for dinner at Union Fare in trendy Union Square.

Sunday, November 5

New York City Marathon

ElliptiGO athletes shined the next morning at the New York City Marathon. Stephanie Bruce notched a top 10 performance on the women’s side. On the men’s side, Meb Keflezighi ran the final race of his storied career, finishing in spectacular fashion in 11th place. He was flanked by fellow ElliptiGO athletes Shadrack Biwott in 10th and Jared Ward in 12th. Congratulations, runners.

GERC Manhattan Tour

Members of the GERC assembled Sunday morning to ride the perimeter Manhattan, timing their journey perfectly to watch Meb cross the finish line. The tour started and ended at City Hall, with riders traversing the East River Bike Path, Inwood Hill Park in Harlem, the West Side Bike Path, and Battery Park for a total of 40 miles.

ElliptiGO reps also had the opportunity to meet Robin Allen-Burke, the lucky winner of the Meb NYC VIP Giveaway.
