As the Marine Corps Birthday and Veterans Day approach this year, I am thankful to be a Veteran and particularly proud to be a Marine Veteran. I am also humbled by those who have sacrificed much more than I was ever asked to as a Marine, whether that was serving in combat, being on the front lines of the civil rights movement, surviving the Holocaust, or being a first responder in a time of crisis.
Get Out and GO 2018 (GOGO) is a challenge program modeled after ElliptiGO’s previous “Get on the Map.” 2017’s inaugural edition of GOGO was a rousing success. GOGO 2018 runs from March 1 through October 31, 2018.
Following the spirit of Sir Edmund Hillary, Bruno Pollet set off in July to be the first person to climb the Col du Tourmalet on an ElliptiGO Arc. “I asked myself, ‘Why not test the Arc on it?’ I thought it would be quite the challenge.”
Many of us grew up riding bikes helmetless around the neighborhood, so we are reluctant to wear a helmet now. But according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, 84 percent of bicycle deaths are to persons age 20 and older. Be smart. Be safe. Wear a helmet.
