This year, we chose to honor Tera Moody. Tera’s generosity made way for two amazing campaigns: the Put A Bow On A GO contest last winter and the Ride Together, Rise Together contest -- which is accepting entries now ‘til Nov. 17! She donated ten 8C bikes, making it possible for others to experience the transformative joy of riding an ElliptiGO bike.
This month, we honor Lewis “Lefty” Leftwich. His welcoming attitude, his dedication to driving awareness for our brand, not to mention his love of riding for sweet treats have earned him the title September 2019 Rider Of The Month.
Emma made an awe-inspiring 4,900+ mile (8,000 kilometer) ElliptiGO trek across Australia in 2017. She used her achievement as a platform to raise money and awareness for One Girl which supports the education of girls in Africa. This example of women supporting women through astounding journeys has earned Emma recognition in a very unique way.
This month, we’re excited to share the story of a stellar athlete who is defying age stereotypes and is so humble about his amazing accomplishments. Rich Castro recently ran a 6:38 mile placing 2nd at the Pearl Street Mile, a USATF Colorado Championship race, in the 70-74 age group. While Rich is keeping his competitive spirit alive by continuing to achieve outstanding results, he also is encouraging people of every age to get active at every athletic level.
"Our drive from Stowe, Vermont to Bar Harbor, Maine took us right past Mt. Washington in New Hampshire...This was my first time back to see Mt. Washington since Bryce and I climbed it on ElliptiGO bikes back in 2010. Twice each year, they allow bikes onto the famous Mount Washington Auto Road to see who can get to the top the quickest."
"Some people love the cheese, others love the maple syrup, and still others come for the ice cream, but the best thing I’ve experienced so far in Vermont is the bike ferry. That’s right...a ferry that only hauls bikes and their riders across the water that separates two bike paths."
ElliptiGO Inc., Headsweats and Xero Shoes are enticing entrants with $2,500 in prizes during the Blaze Your Trail giveaway. One grand prize winner and two runner-up winners will be outfitted for outdoor adventures with prizes from all three active lifestyle brands. Entries are now open and will be accepted until Aug.
This month, we’re highlighting a special member of our community who has experienced an incredible transformation. Barbara Russell-Mahoney has shed weight, gained muscle, and is now in the running to win Ms. Health & Fitness.
"I haven’t seen better urban bike trail infrastructure anywhere else in the country, and that includes cycling meccas like Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and New York City. I haven’t been everywhere yet, but so far, Madison is at the top."
