Billy's Journey with ElliptiGO

Billy O’Donnell

How did you first hear of ElliptiGO? After completing my first David Goggins’ 4x4x48 fitness challenge in March of 2021 using a stationary elliptical trainer, a colleague sent me an article about a man who was a bilateral amputee and crossed-trained for a marathon in London, England, using an ElliptiGO 11R. I immediately went to the ElliptiGO website to discover that an elliptical bike existed. I was excited but dismayed to discover no one was doing test rides in Las Vegas. So I reached out to ElliptiGO headquarters in Solana Beach, CA, but was told due to COVID, they were not performing test rides. Several weeks later, I received a call from a young lady who informed me test rides were being offered again. My wife and I drove to California from Las Vegas, we test rode every model available, along with my son and his wife. I was sold and hooked. I have been riding for a year now and completed my first century ride at the Parowan Gap in Utah, June 2022. Come test ride with me today. I want to help you Revolutionize Your Fitness.

How Do You Use Your ElliptiGO For Fitness/Exercise? I am a member of the ElliptiGO Global Riders Club (GERC) and founder of the Las Vegas GOGOs, a local ElliptiGO riders club. I ride nearly every day, competing virtually for Gold, Silver and Bronze ElliptiGO swag, along with other ElliptiGO riders around the world. You might see me riding on the road or on my balcony using the stationary fluid trainer. I ride fundraising events with other cyclists in NV, CA, OR, and UT, attempting to bring awareness to the epidemic of global obesity and type II diabetes. The excitement of riding an ElliptiGO stand up bike outdoors without joint or low back pain is exhilarating. I like the gym, but I like options. The more options, the more freedom. Come test ride with me TODAY.

What do you love most about riding an ElliptiGO? Aside from not having low back or joint pain. I enjoy standing tall and seeing the beauty of the places I ride. The ability to get the best of core strengthening activity, combined with superior cardiovascular training is fantastic- all in less time than it takes to do both in the gym is an added bonus. Come test ride with me today, see the excitement of Las Vegas and start the journey to Revolutionize Your Fitness.

What is your favorite ElliptiGO bike?
My favorite bike is the ElliptiGO Long Stride 11R. Light weight, 11 gears, easy to travel with and fun to ride!

What is your favorite local ride?
My favorite route is one I have carved out near Southern Highlands, down Volunteer Drive, passing by the new Las Vegas Raiders practice facility and the Amazon distribution center. It uses a variety of paved roads with wide bike lanes and some paved bike trails and it can be tailored to 5, 10, 15 or 20 mile rides.

What is your longest or most memorable ride?
I recently completed my first century ride in Parowan, Utah, at elevations of more than 6000 feet. The views were breathtaking and the variety of wildlife, from wild sheep to giant hawks, was amazing. The route took us through ancient petroglyphs that were stunning. I stood tall and saw it all. Prior to the gap ride I participated in Reach the Beach-Oregon for the American Lung Association. This 75 mile route started in Carlton wine country bringing us through the Siuslaw National Forest then the Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge and our final destination, Pacific City Beach. An absolutely beautiful ride bringing together wine country, a national forest, wildlife and the beach; everything amazing about Oregon in one ride.
