Anna is a sports physical therapist and athletic trainer who began riding an ElliptiGO in 2012. She was a competitive gymnast into college and then began running up to half marathons after college. Chronic hip injuries eventually limited her running, and even as a health care professional it took three hip surgeries for her to realize she had to stop running. The ElliptiGO was a perfect fit for her as she wanted to continue to train for events and enjoy an outdoor cardio workout without causing more repetitive injury to her body.

Anna's Journey with ElliptiGO

How did you first hear of ElliptiGO? I randomly saw an ElliptiGO ad while searching online when recovering from my second hip surgery. Not knowing how much the ElliptiGO would change my life, it wasn’t until I found out I needed a third surgery a year later that I bought an ElliptiGO. My best advice now is don’t wait- just get one!

How Do You Use Your ElliptiGO For Fitness/Exercise? I use my ElliptiGO for short 5-10 mile rides on busy days when I need to get in a quick workout. I also use organized cycling and ElliptiGO events to set goals and train for 50-100 mile rides.

What do you love most about riding an ElliptiGO? The ElliptiGO is a fun, low impact outdoor workout that allows me to train as hard as I want without joint pain. It can be used for very casual rides and for more serious training. I love the ElliptiGO community of riders I’ve met and all the places I’ve traveled to doing organized rides.

What is your favorite ElliptiGO bike?
They are all fun, but I love the long stride models (3C, 8C, 11R) as they allow me to ride as far as I want to without joint pain.

What is your favorite local ride?
I love riding in Fountain Hills and at Bartlett Lake for hill training, the Tempe/Scottsdale greenbelt and local canals for casual rides, and North Scottsdale for longer weekend rides.

What is your longest or most memorable ride?
Riding in Switzerland and Italy, including to the top of Stelvio Pass, was definitely an amazing experience! My first organized ride, the LA River Ride, was also my first 100-mile ride so that was pretty memorable. Completing the 100+ miles and 15,000 feet of elevation of the Tour of the California Alps (aka “Death Ride”) on my second attempt was also unforgettable. And I can’t leave out riding up Palomar in the ElliptiGO World Championships since 2014!
