How did you first hear of ElliptiGO? I first heard about Elliptigo from a friend of mine who had been using the 8C for many years as a low-impact substitute for running. Having suffered from my own injuries, I was thrilled by the possibility of returning to the roads for a pain-free bike ride. What I didn't know is how fun and exhilarating the ride would be!
About Brad Ermeling
Brad Ermeling is a school leadership consultant, education researcher, and graduate school professor. He and his wife, Genevieve, are both career educators and co-authors of the best selling book Teaching Better: Igniting and Sustaining Instructional Improvement. Brad was also a recipient of the 2010 Best Research Award from the National Staff Development Council (now Learning Forward).
Brad and Genevieve first met in college as track and basketball athletes and Genevieve competed in the 5000 meters during the 2004 US Olympic trials. They always enjoyed running or biking together until Brad suffered from a pudendal nerve injury, partially caused by long hours on the bicycle. Joint exercise was no longer possible until they discovered ElliptiGO. Brad now rides the MSUB to keep Genevieve company on the running trail, and he takes the RSUB or 11R when they head out for long rides.
Brad's Journey with ElliptiGO
How Do You Use Your ElliptiGO For Fitness/Exercise? I ride every morning for fitness and enjoy longer rides on the weekend with my wife. I rotate between the 11R, RSUB, and MSUB.
What do you love most about riding an ElliptiGO? I love the fluid motion, the tall position, and the pain-free ride. Each ride is both challenging and invigorating. It’s great for cardio but also great for recreation.
What is your favorite ElliptiGO Bike?
I use the 11R for long rides, the RSUB for fast rides, and the MSUB for off-roading. It’s a perfect trio.
What is your favorite local ride?
My wife and I enjoy cruising the roads at White Tank Mountain Regional Park.
What is your longest or most memorable ride?
My longest rides are when I accompany my wife on the RSUB or MSUB for her long runs. We had a great time in Utah at Snow Canyon State Park.
