GOing into 2026: Momentum for a New Beginning

When we launched GOing into 2026: Momentum for a New Beginning, we set out to give away five gently used ElliptiGO 8C bikes (more than $10,000 in total value) to individuals ready for a fresh start.

What we didn’t anticipate was just how deeply our community would show up.

We received more than 560 nominations, each one filled with resilience, vulnerability, and hope. Story after story reminded us that movement is never just about fitness — it’s about identity, recovery, confidence, and the courage to begin again.

While we could only select five winners, every submission mattered. And today, we’re honored to celebrate the recipients who are stepping into 2026 with renewed momentum.

Meet the Winners

Jeffrey G

Jeffery G — Fighting Forward

Jeffery describes himself as a “young” almost 60-year-old who has always been dedicated to fitness. After being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024, undergoing a radical prostatectomy, enduring daily radiation, and then surviving a heart attack followed by quintuple bypass surgery, he’s still focused on staying strong for what’s ahead.

“I would love to have a chance at having one to conquer this cancer.”

Jeffery had already test-ridden an ElliptiGO and fell in love with it — but mounting medical bills made ownership out of reach. Now, as he prepares for his next round of treatment, he’ll be riding into this chapter with renewed strength.

Sherri K — Strength, Grit & 75 Miles

Sherri K

Nominated by her daughter Alison, Sherri’s story is one of perseverance.

After a fall while training for a 5K, Sherri underwent an emergency hip replacement — followed by two additional surgeries to correct complications. Yet just six weeks after that first surgery, she completed a 75-mile MS ride because she had committed to it.

“Being able to slog through those 75 miles after all of the surgical trauma was quite the milestone.”

She may never run again, but her commitment to fundraising, wellness, and staying active hasn’t wavered. Now retired and on a fixed income, the ElliptiGO offers her a way to keep “the wheels spinning” — and maybe even ride alongside her daughter again.

Bradley M — Redefining Identity

Bradley M.

An ultramarathoner and trail runner, Bradley’s knee surgery two years ago changed everything. Persistent pain forced him to step away from long-distance racing,  and with it, part of his identity.

“My surgeon said I need to stop running long distances… I need something low impact so I can stay active.”

For someone who built his life around endurance, staying active isn’t optional, it’s essential. The ElliptiGO offers Bradley a way to preserve his knee health while continuing to push forward.

Jennifer K-G — A Return to Self

Jennifer K-G

For Jennifer, movement has always been about joy and presence. After two hip replacements in her 40s and more recently treatment for early-stage breast cancer, 2026 represents something bigger than fitness: it represents reclaiming herself.

“An ElliptiGO would be more than a bike. It would be a return to myself.”

She had ridden an ElliptiGO before and described it as the closest thing to running — upright, rhythmic, low-impact, and outdoors. Between medical expenses and life transitions, ownership wasn’t possible. Now, as she looks ahead to healing and rebuilding strength, she’ll do so with the freedom of movement she’s been missing.

Marshall High School Cross Country — Keeping Kids Moving

Marshall High School Cross Country

Our final recipient is the Marshall High School Cross Country Team, a Title 1 school in Los Angeles with limited facilities and no working cardio equipment.

When athletes get injured, they’ve had little choice but to sit trackside and watch. After winning their first-ever City Championship — with their team captain injured during the race — they knew they needed better cross-training options.

“Having an ElliptiGO will enable everyone to continue participating and have a lot of fun doing it!”

This bike won’t just support one athlete. It will support an entire team’s ability to stay engaged, motivated, and moving forward together.

More Than a Giveaway

This giveaway became something far greater than we imagined. What unfolded over the course of this campaign was a reminder of why this community exists in the first place. We saw stories of grit, recovery, reinvention, and determination. We saw families rally around one another. We saw athletes redefining what strength looks like. We saw people choosing to move forward, even when the path hasn’t been easy.

And in many ways, that was the real win.

These stories created something powerful. They turned individual journeys into a shared experience. They reminded us that movement connects us, and that support can travel just as far as any ride.

The five recipients may be beginning their next chapters on ElliptiGO bikes, but the spirit behind this campaign belongs to everyone who participated. Momentum isn’t limited to a handful of winners. It lives in every person who chooses to take a step (or a stride) toward what’s next.

As we head into 2026, we’re inspired by what we’ve seen and excited for what’s ahead.

  1. Great stories and a BIG thank you to Elliptigo for making them and the “Rider of the Month” possible. While my own experience cannot compare with what others are doing I can state that I’ve been an investor and rider since 2015 and just completed 24 continuous months of riding in Wisconsin. My goal now is to make it 36 months.

  2. Sherri Kimmel says:

I received my ElliptiGo two days ago and excited to get going once the cold, snowy weather breaks. I told the bodywork professional who keeps me chugging along about winning a bike, and he is enthused about how it will bring me to a new level of recovery and fitness. Thank you so much for choosing me and to my daughter for championing me.

  3. Julie Campbell says:

What an awesome program!! Congrats to all the winners & to all who keep moving!
