4:30-6:30PM – MEET & GREET / WELCOME RECEPTION

Please join us for a casual open house style happy hour, social & self-serve treat bar! ElliptiGO accessories & apparel will be available for pick-up and purchase. (All welcome)

6:00-10:00AM – WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CLIMB UP PALOMAR MOUNTAIN

Note: Award Ceremony and group photo of participants will take place at the top of Palomar Mountain immediately following this event.

2:30pm – GROUP RIDE PARTICIPANTS BEGIN GATHERING AT ELLIPTIGO HQ

3:00-4:30PM – GROUP RALLY RIDES

Choose 1 of 3 routes of varying lengths that will depart ElliptiGO HQ at the same time. Each group will have a leader & a sweep. No rider left behind!

  • Hardest Route: Approx 14 miles and will include about 1,000 feet of climbing. It will go south along the coast up to the top of Torrey Pines Hill & back. Average pace will be about 14 mph.
  • Middle Route: Approx 10 miles and will include about 300 feet of climbing. It will go north along the coast to the Moonlight Beach parking lot & back. Average pace will be about 13 mph.
  • Short Route: Approx 5 miles and will include less than 100 feet of climbing. It will go along the lagoon across from Jimmy Durante Blvd. Average pace will be 10-12 mph.

 

5:00-9:00PM – GROUP DINNER & GERC AWARDS CEREMONY

Catered by Red Oven Pizza. All-you-can-eat pizza made fresh onsite in a stone pizza oven! Beer and wine will be provided. Tickets sold in advance: $25 per person. Purchase tickets on the Registration page. Due to Fletcher Cove capacity, only 100 tickets are available.

GROUP RIDES 9AM, 10AM, and 10:45AM

Three routes of varying lengths depart ON TIME with the goal of all groups arriving back at ElliptiGO HQ by noon. All rides depart from ElliptiGO Headquarters and go north along the coast. We will again have three different routes that will leave at different times.

30 minutes before your group’s departure time – Group ride participants begin gathering at ElliptiGO HQ

  • Long Route: Departs promptly at 9:00 AM; approximately 34 miles in total distance to the Oceanside Pier & back. Riders in this group will plan on averaging at least 14 mph to arrive back at ElliptiGO HQ no later than noon.
  • Medium Route: Departs promptly at 10:00 AM; approximately 21 miles in total distance to the Carlsbad Hilton & back. Riders in this group will plan on averaging about 12 mph to arrive back at ElliptiGO HQ no later than noon.
  • Short Route: Departs promptly at 10:45 AM; approximately 12 miles in total distance to D Street in Encinitas & back. Riders in this group will plan on averaging 12 mph to arrive back at ElliptiGO HQ no later than noon.

 

The goal is to have everyone back at ElliptiGO HQ by noon to return borrowed bikes, hang out and catch up. From there whoever is interested will walk across the street to Fidel’s Mexican Restaurant to enjoy some Mexican cuisine.

12:30PM to 2:30PM – GROUP BRUNCH

This is unhosted. One check will be provided to each table. Please be prepared to cover your portion.
