16th Annual ElliptiGO Rally and World Championships: A Weekend to Remember

From October 3–5, 2025, Solana Beach, California, was the place to be for ElliptiGO enthusiasts from near and far. The 16th Annual ElliptiGO Rally and World Championships, co-hosted by ElliptiGO Headquarters and the Global ElliptiGO Riders Club (GERC), brought together riders and ElliptiGO HQ team members for a weekend celebrating the bikes, the people, and the passion that keep our community GOing.

The event attracted ElliptiGO riders from across the country and as far away as England for three action-packed days of connection and competition. Below are some of the standout moments from this unforgettable weekend.

Gathering, Riding, and Reconnecting

The fun kicked off Friday night with a meetup at Pillbox Tavern & Grill. Saturday featured group rides of five to 14 miles, along with the weekend’s main attractions — the World Championships race up Palomar Mountain and the annual Awards Dinner. Whether racing, cheering, or simply soaking it all in, attendees experienced the spirit of ElliptiGO at its best.

Conquering Palomar: The 2025 World Championships

Early Saturday morning, October 4, a determined field of athletes lined up for the Elliptical Cycling and Stand-Up Cycling World Championships, ready to take on the iconic climb up Palomar Mountain. The 11.69-mile course, featuring 4,209 feet of elevation gain and an average 7% grade, tested every rider’s endurance and resolve.

In the men’s elliptical bike division, Mark Berger, who hails from Canada, claimed first place with an impressive 1:33:54, followed by ElliptiGO CEO Bryce Whiting in 1:37:14, and former CEO Bryan Pate — now CEO of ElliptiGO’s parent company, PT Motion Works — finishing third in 1:59:13.

The fastest rider overall was Jonathan Matthews, who powered up the mountain on his ElliptiGO RSUB in 1:33:22, earning his second consecutive win in the men’s stand-up bike category.

For the women’s elliptical division, Teresa Fukumoto-Beebe continued her dominance, winning for the third straight year with a time of 1:41:28 and also placing third overall in the elliptical bike category. Shannon Kath secured second in 1:44:09, while Kim Rose finished third with a time of 1:57:59.

This all looks so exciting! I took my first test ride a few weeks ago with a local enthusiast in my neighborhood. I am now simply waiting for the next sale to happen and I will make my purchase to “join the club!” When will the next sale be? Christmas?
