ElliptiGO Athletes PR In the Windy City

PRs all around! Katie Matthews rocked it out in Chi-Town and earned a new personal best for the marathon and a Top 10 finish. Outstanding, Katie! As a professional athlete running for Team B.A.A. and Adidas Running, she uses her ElliptiGO on an indoor trainer to cross-train.

Struggled to get across that finish line today – I really had to work the last couple of miles as conditions worsened and my legs lost their pop. I’m coming out of @chimarathon with a slight PR and some take aways for my training block next time if I really want to run the time I believe I’m capable of. I’m very thankful for the support of the crowds here, the inspiration I’ve gained from my fellow competitors, the generosity of my sponsors, the allowance of days off from work, and the love from my family and friends who are debatably too easy to impress. I once heard “third time’s the charm” so I guess there might just have to be another marathon in my future… any suggestions? #chimarathon #adidasrunning #teamBAA #neednachos

Runner’s World is calling it the top moment from Chicago. Despite a nasty fall at Mile 22 and not finishing in his goal time of sub 3-hours, Brian Reynolds showed tremendous grit and perseverance, while setting a new personal best and lowering his world record time. We recently profiled Brian’s journey to Chicago. Check it out here.

Chicago marathon finisher for the second year in a row! I finished in 3 hours 3 mins 22 secs. It wasn’t the result I was hoping for but falling at mile 22 and getting a concussion certainly didn’t help me! My time was still good enough for a small PR! I am so grateful for @mikewardian, Phil, and @stanbluejay for coming out to help pace me. I spent the last four miles fighting to stay upright through dizziness and blacking out. These guys were my rocks and helps pull me through thick and thin. I wouldn’t have made it without them! Thankfully I am feeling a bit better after a few hours of rest! Thank you @bankofamerica and @chimarathon for such a great event! I am still chasing the #sub3! . . . . . . #marathontime #sunday #churchofthelongrun #adaptiveathlete #dreambig #dreambigger #marathonrunner #amputee #marathontraining #marathon #ChicagoMarathon #instafitness #athlete #fitlife #bankofamerica #instarunners #igrunners #lovetorun #runners #runnersofinstagram #runningman #runchat #happyrunner #running #worlderunners #nikerunning #chicago #paceteam #sub3 #dreamgoal @bankofamerica @chimarathon @skoutbackcountry @runnersworldmag
