The American Legion and ElliptiGO
Partner to Give Back to Veterans

We’re excited to share that ElliptiGO has partnered with The American Legion to support their BE THE ONE campaign. This program was created to end the stigma of mental illness and to help save the lives of veterans in crisis. It is estimated that between 17 and 22 veterans or service members take their lives each day. The BE THE ONE initiative is designed to destigmatize asking for mental health support, provide peer-to-peer support and resources, and educate everyone on how they can Be the One.

As part of this partnership, all American Legion Members are eligible to receive a discount on any new ElliptiGO bike with 10% of the proceeds being donated to The American Legion Be The One Campaign.

In addition, the American Legion will be integrating ElliptiGO bikes into their Mobile Marketing efforts, which includes a presence at a variety of events, namely the IndyCar Series, where they are seeing a ton of success. Alex Palou, driving the No. 10 American Legion Honda, is currently leading the 2023 IndyCar Series, taking the fastest pole ever and finishing 4th at the Indianapolis 500 this past weekend. Teammate and fellow Chip Ganassi Racing driver, Marcus Ericsson currently sits second in the IndyCar Series and finished second at the Indy 500.

This partnership is really an expansion of an existing relationship which started around the American Legion’s Operation Comfort Warrior (OCW) Program which we highlighted in this article back in February 2022. To date, the OCW program has graciously granted six ElliptiGO bikes to deserving recipients. Most recently, on Saturday, May 20th, ElliptiGO Enthusiast Jose Sanchez and his wife Teresa, represented ElliptiGO at the 2023 Annual Armed Forces Ball in Sacramento where Rev. Theron Ledford, Ret. Army Chaplain received an ElliptiGO 11R procured by The American Legion’s OCW program. Rev. Ledford was extremely grateful and will use the 11R for his recovery.

We couldn’t be more honored to partner with The American Legion who help our heroes in their time of need. If you want to learn more about the BE THE ONE program and how you can support this initiative, please visit https://www.legion.org/betheone/about

Hello, I’ve been a member of the American Legion – SAL for many years here in Grand Haven, MI – Post#28…it also happens I’ve been riding an Elliptigo for many years as well. The BeTheOne campaign looks like a very worthwhile endeavor and I would like to forward this on to our Post here so they can share it amongst their constituents. Post#28 is one of the largest in this state. What is the best way to do that? I do not see a link to allow forwarding of this blog. Please advise.

For the good of the Legion,
    Dave

Thanks for all you do for veterans and the community support and partnership! I was wondering how to purchase a “Be the One” elliptigo. I’ve been an admirer for years, but I would absolutely love to support the campaign riding this around town, Post activities, and veteran events! Great advertising!
